Angela Nielsen. President/Creative Director

One Lily’s award-winning web designs all started with a car crash. In her sophomore year at college Angela Nielsen was a straight-A student with a goal of becoming a history professor. Those hopes faded when a distracted driver adjusting a child-safety seat crossed the yellow line. The head-on collision resulted in traumatic brain injuries, impairing Angela’s short and long-term memory.

Undeterred by a long period of rehab, Angela decided to move on with her life, looking for a career that would permit her to work from anywhere: she and her husband were planning a family, but she knew that his career as a United States Marine would spell frequent moves, and flexibility was a primary concern.

As a natural designer who loves color, Angela figured web design would fit the bill – even though her technical skills were limited to checking email. So she rolled up her sleeves and launched her own business, teaching herself everything she knows about web and graphic design.

Fast forward 10 years and Angela’s simple dream has resulted in a company with 3 divisions, an office for her growing staff, over 200 existing clients, and 400+ websites designed.

Angela is a guest expert on teleclasses and has been interviewed for both radio and print on numerous occasions. She has an Advanced Certificate in Social Media by the University of San Francisco, and is currently completing her Master Certificate in Internet Marketing.

Sanna Boman Coates. Technology Director

Sanna began working for One Lily in November of 2009. Along with being our WordPress expert, she is also a code geek and responsible for making sure new client websites are up to date with current web standards.

Originally from Sweden, Sanna moved to California for the sunshine and great opportunities. She has a passion for old cars and motorcycles, and likes reading, skydiving and playing bass in a rock’n’roll band.

Rachel Chandler. Executive Assistant

Rachel began working for One Lily in February of 2006. In 2008 her husband (a US Marine) received orders to Japan, and she left One Lily to join him and to care for her two children. As of January 2011 Rachel has rejoined the One Lily team. We could list the duties she performs, but you’d be here until next week reading the list. Suffice it to say – Rachel is the glue that keeps the company running smoothly. She keeps everyone on task, helps the clients get what they need, and just gets stuff done, not to mention making sure Angela actually eats her lunch!

Rachel loves spending time with her children, baking and of course being part of the One Lily team! (She makes a mean batch of chocolate chip cookies!)

Tanya Jordan. Virtual Assistant

Tanya began working for One Lily in March of 2011, after casually teasing Angela that she should become One Lily’s virtual assistant. Tanya brings with her years of administrative and v.a. experience, along with a practical “do what works” approach and a willingness to learn. She is excited by new technologies and eager to see what changes the future holds. Her focus in the past has been on solopreneurs and small businesses, finding solutions for their least favorite parts of business so they can focus on their core competencies.

One Lily’s sole Canadian team member has a passion for food. When not working or spending time with her husband and four children, she is always cooking, baking or eating something delicious.
